Faye sighed as she was held close and whimpered when Emery pulled away. She hated that feeling of emptiness. She listened and watched as the other girl laid down. Some sort of aching nagged at her. It had been there for weeks now. Most of the time Faye attempted to ignore it, guessing it was just because she missed Faye. Following her Emery to the bed, Faye straddled the girls hips. “You should show me how much you missed me.” She leaned down capturing her lips again. This time it was more than a peck. She needed to convey what her heart felt while they were apart. Sometimes they were a game to Faye. Sometimes they weren’t but she never stopped caring. She never stopped loving Emery. Every morning she woke up and thought about her. Every night she wished she was in her arms. In the end she was still her princess. Faye hovered over her lips once she pulled away. “You can say birthdays arent your thing and you can say that they don’t matter.” placing the tiny gift bag beside the other girl’s head, she laced both of their hands together. “I love you, so they matter to me.”

Emery was sure that she had never been so enthused to have Faye around. She placed her hands on Faye’s hips and smirked at the girl who hovered above her. Using her own legs, she trapped the brunette on top of her and smirked a little bit. “Show you?” Em raised an eyebrow, smiling and kissing her back. It was clear that this was something completely different than before. It was passionate, full of desire, full of need. The kiss surged through Emery’s body, her hands tightening on the other girl’s shirt. This was what she needed, she needed to know that Faye was still her girl even if she wasn’t necessarily hers. “I can definitely show you.” She smirked, taking Faye’s bottom lip into her mouth and nipping at it softly. As Faye’s hovered over her and trapped her arms, Emery’s shoulders shuddered. She lifted her head to try to capture Faye’s lips and let out a muffled whimper when she started talking. The words seemed to flow out of Faye’s mouth and she loved it. She loved that the words sounded like liquid and made her whole body warm. “Oh.” Emmy spoke, biting her own lip. She was so in love with Faye and had been for ages, but saying it wasn’t easy. “What’s in the bag?” She smirked, her arms trying to move and grasp it.

That moment that the door open, everything seemed to be okay. Maybe even perfect. The way that Emery lit up when she opened the door, the way she called her name. It was perfect. So it was no wonder that, when Faye took a step inside, the first thing she did was wrap her arms around the taller girl’s placing a kiss or two on her neck. “I’ve missed you…” she trailed off as an apology started to brew with an ‘I love you’. Shaking her head she pulled away and linked their hands together. “so much.” Once the door was closed, Faye’s smile grew. As she pulled Emery to her room, she bit her lip. “I’m sorry. Your birthday was not the way it was supposed to be. You know my temper and, well, our relationship. Our lack of relationship, your still the most special thing to me and I should’ve put all the petty stuff aside for your day.” She rambled on as they reached Em’s bedroom. “I have presents for you.” She beamed an turned pressing a kiss on the brunette’s lips.

The few kisses placed to her neck as they held one another made the desire to have the other girl around all the more intense. Emery couldn’t explain her attraction to Faye. She didn’t know if it was the dimples that came when she smiled, or the curve of her back when they embraced, or if it was the mere fact that Faye Archer had just as dark of personality as she did. She slid her fingers through her hair as they made their way to her bedroom. As a kiss was placed on her lips, Emmy reached forward and held tightly onto each side of Faye’s shirt tightly, making sure she stayed put. “I missed you too, by the way.” She tapped the other girl’s nose and released her, sitting on her bed. “Birthdays aren’t a big deal… you didn’t have to get me anything.” Emery waved the girl off before laying backward and sighing. She was sure that none of this mattered. She was just another toy for Faye. This wasn’t a big deal. She was used to being nothing to someone. But she wasn’t used to be nothing to someone who she cared about. In fsct, she wasn’t used to caring about much of anyone.

It had been days, weeks even since the last time Faye saw Emery. Both of their birthdays passed and nothing, granted Faye was pissed at her friend. She was upset because she missed the Abrams girl. She was frustrated because she couldn’t get a good night’s sleep without Emery. So she sat up staring at the things she bought, presents, most nights. It’s what she was doing at that moment too, as she willed them to magically appear in front of the girl, her girl. A chuckle passed her lips as she grabbed the items knowing that the only way they’d make it to Emery was if she delivered them. Locking the door, Faye made her way to the car and drove the twenty minute drive to the Abrams. Once the car stopped, she got out of the car, walked to the door and knocked.

Emery wasn’t sure what was going on between her and Faye anymore, she wasn’t sure about most things. Most of the time she hid away in her room or danced her days away. Her thoughts of Faye never left her. It was actually quite hard to clear her head lately and sometimes dancing didn’t even work. She shook her head as she spun in a quick circle before sitting on the couch. Her parents hadn’t been home in a whole week and she was starting to get lonely. But she realized that maybe it was time for her to get used to this life. Loneliness was something she would definitely have to get used to. Love was never in the cards for her, it never had been. She stood up once again and walked over to the mirror in the living room. Sighing, she pulled her hair out of the braid it was in and shook it out slowly. There had to be someone out there who could love her, right? When she heard a knock at the door, she walked over to it and opened it slowly. Her excitement honestly couldn’t be contained and a smile broadened onto her face. “Faye!” She spoke, letting the girl inside.

Oh, that’ll never get old. I consistently feign forgetting your birthday every year. Alright, alright, everybody on the love train. So when can I give you your present?

I know and I don’t get why I haven’t grown accustomed to it yet. I mean… You can give me my present whenever. I don’t have huge pans for the day.
